I guess that depends on whether or not you believe in the Words of the Bible.
Though liberals will smear us and leftists will hate us, there are Biblical reasons illegal immigration does not sit well with conservative Christians.
Romans 13:1-7 (NKJV):
Submit to Government
1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. 4 For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. 5 Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing. 7 Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.
Though our elected officials and our President love to quote Scripture and showcase their faith publicly, it is apparent to all they do not have the courage to actually follow the Word of God.
And, you know, God has never been a fan of lip service.
Mark 7:6 (NKJV):
6 He answered and said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written:
This people honors Me with their lips,
But their heart is far from Me.
God has set our elected officials in a position of authority to uphold the laws of this nation and the well-being of its citizens.
1 Timothy 5:8 (NKJV):
8 But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
Our elected officials would do well to remember another verse they seem to have overlooked . . .
Daniel 2:21 (NKJV):
21 And He changes the times and the seasons;
He removes kings and raises up kings;
He gives wisdom to the wise
And knowledge to those who have understanding.
God has raised them to their position of power. God can also remove them.
